If MFC140.dll is reported missing when starting our programs, two DLLS from Microsoft must be added. These are located at

https://www.visualstudio.com/downloads/?q=Redistributable

Please scroll down on the page, then the downloads can be selected directly.

To resolve this error message about the missing MFC140.DLL, the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (32-bit version (x86) and x64) must be downloaded and installed. The installation of both files is necessary.
